The European PhD School on 'Power Electronics, Electrical Machines, Energy Control and Power Systems' was founded in 1999 with the goal of providing Ph.D. students the opportunity to broaden their knowledge in these research areas. The Best Poster Award is sponsored by ECPE and ANAE.

2023: The winner of the Best Poster Award 2023 sponsored by ECPE and ANAE is Fabio Marzolla, University of Trieste, Italy.
Fabio Marzolla received his B. Sc. degree in industrial engineering (electric subjects) from University of Trieste, Italy in 2016. He is currently working towards his Ph.D at the University of Trieste, Italy. His research interests include Matlab-Simulink models, different types of MIMO control and secondary voltage regulation in transmission networks.
The title of his Paper is 'Modeling and Design of Voltage Control Systems for the Energy Transition'.
2019: The winner of the Best Poster Award 2019 sponsored by ECPE and ANAE is Caniggia Castro Diniz Viana, Canada.
Caniggia Castro Diniz Viana received his B. Sc. degree in electrical engineering from UFRN - Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte in Natal, Brazil. He is currently working towards his Ph.D at the University of Toronto, Canada. He developed on control systems for AC/DC bidirectional topology ripple mitigation and is currently working on integrating electric vehicles magnetics and drivetrains into DC Fast Charging.
The title of his Paper is 'Drivetrain Integrated DC Fast Charging for Electric Vehicles'.

The winner of the Best Poster Award 2017 sponsored by ANAE and ECPE is Luis G. Alves Rodrigues, Brazil.
Luis G. Alves Rodrigues was born in Guaratingueta, Brazil, in 1991. He received the B. Sc. degree in electrical engineering from both the São Paulo State University (UNESP), Ilha Solteira, Brazil, and the Ecole Nationale Superieure d’Electronique, d’Electrotechnique, d’Informatique, d’Hydraulique et de Telecommunications (ENSEEIHT), Toulouse, France, in 2014 and 2015, respectively. He is currently working towards his Ph.D at the National Institute of Solar Energy (CEA/INES) and the Grenoble Electrical Engineering Laboratory (G2Elab) in France. His research interests include power electronics for renewable energy sources, DC-AC converters and wide band-gap devices.
The title of his Paper is 'Design and characterization of high-power (S>250kVA) SiC-based current source inverter for photovoltaic applications'.
The winner of the Best Poster Award 2016 sponsored by ANAE and ECPE is Egi Nazeraj, Virje Universiteit Brussels, Belgium.
Egi Nazeraj received his B.Sc. in Power Engineering from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” and M.Sc. in Electromechanical Engineering in the frame of the BRUFACE program (VUB-ULB). He is currently a Ph.D. researcher in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Energy Technology (ETEC) at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and at the Mobility, Logistics and Automotive Technology Research Centre (MOBI). His research is focused on design, control and optimization of Multiport DC/DC Converters for hybrid applications.
The title of his Paper is 'Optimal Design of Multiport DC/DC Converters for Hybrid Systems'.
